Application Installer

Introduction

We understand the importance of a seamless installation process, which is why we have made it as simple as possible for you to start using our 1ERP system without delay.

1ERP is a versatile software application that can be installed on a desktop/laptop, server, or even on the cloud using popular services such as Amazon or Azure Web Services. Our platform offers a comprehensive suite of tools that enable organizations to manage various business processes such as accounting and finance activities, human resources, billing, sales and distribution, logistics, and more. Whether you prefer an on-premise installation or cloud-based deployment, our 1ERP system is designed to meet your unique business requirements.

By now, you should have downloaded the Application Installer, if not, the 1ERP installation executable file can be downloaded here. The default installation program will install the 1ERP system on your local computer. If you wish to install 1ERP on a remote server, please work with your system administrator to get the server information before starting the installation process.

Automated Dependencies Setup Process

Please click on the link to view our 1ERP installation guide video which shows the step by step process to install required dependencies for the 1ERP application.

The below section is the script of the steps followed on the 1ERP installation guide video.

You will need to sign up for an account here before you can install 1ERP. The PowerShell script here (available in the downloaded zip file) has been made available to facilitate the setup of machines to run Rintagi-based applications, including 1ERP . By following the steps outlined below, you can quickly prepare your machine for installation and ensure that all necessary prerequisites are met.

The first step to run the script is that it requires an elevated (administrator) PowerShell prompt, as it involves machine-wide changes and installs new software packages . The script installs only known source packages, you can always read through the script file to get an understanding of the software being installed.

Before executing the script, especially on newer versions of Windows desktop (such as Windows 10/11) that disable PowerShell scripts by default, it is recommended to run the following command:

Set-ExecutionPolicy -ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned -Scope CurrentUser

To set up the machine for running Rintagi-based applications, follow these steps:

Execute the PowerShell script "rintagi_machine_setup_prerequisite.ps1" in the PowerShell prompt, ensuring that the current directory is set to the base directory of the script. This step will install the necessary prerequisites for Rintagi installation.

./rintagi_machine_setup_prerequisite.ps1

Optional (if you already have SQL Server installed and set up):

To use SQL Express as the database, you can run the script "rintagi_machine_setup_install_sqlexpress.ps1" if it is not already installed with mixed mode authentication enabled.

./rintagi_machine_setup_install_sqlexpress.ps1

After this step, we are ready to install the 1ERP installation executable file which can be downloaded here.

Run the executable file on your machine. You will find the below message.

The application installer's goal is to give you the choice of installing new apps, while making sure it does not make any unintended changes to your computer. Before proceeding, please confirm that you are okay with the installation.

Please read and accept the Rintagi Software License and Terms of Service before starting the installation setup on the application installer.

Follow the below Installer Options setup after accepting Rintagi Software License and Terms of Service.

  • As this is a new application, click on the "New" checkbox.
  • If you are running 32-bit office and cannot install 64-bit access runtime engine, please select the 32-bit access/office runtime checkbox
  • Your application should have a two-character namespace RC
  • Your local machine could be the webserver or if it's a server, please enter the name of the server.
  • If necessary, please select a different folder for the Client Tier and Rule Tier. If not, the tiers will be created automatically on the C drive.
  • The SQL Server name should be entered in the data tier section of the application installer as serverName\instanceName (Ex:RCTEST\SQLEXPRESS). If default instance is to be used, you can skip the instance name.
  • If you wish to access the database server using your current Windows login, please check Windows Authentication. If the Windows Authentication option is selected, enter the App User and App Password for the new installation for the database credentials. Credentials will be created if they do not exist
  • If Windows Authentication is not used, database login for this application must be entered for Sys User/Password, additionally please add the App User and App Password for the new installation for the database credentials

After filling in all the required fields, you can proceed by clicking on the "Install" button. The application installer will then begin the deployment process, which is expected to take approximately five to seven minutes to complete.

After the successful deployment of the application installer, you can access your newly deployed 1ERP application. To do so, use either your servername/namespace for the project or access it through localhost/rc or http://servername/rc. For the initial administrative access, use the credentials "John Doe" with the password "JohnDoe". Upon your first sign-in, you will be prompted to change your password for security purposes.
